Intrust Super Cup Activate! Queensland Country Week was a cracker. The 14 Cup teams travelled to seven locations across the state to take part in clinics and play and the crowds were top-notch.

Central Queensland Capras fullback Blake Moore was phenomenal during his side’s first win of the season, earning himself the Hastings Deering Player of the Match gong and skipper honours for the Round 14 Team of the Week.

Each round, Queensland Rugby League recognises the 17 best performers and name the Intrust Super Cup Team of the Week. These team selections are based not only on statistical data, but also take on board live and broadcast viewings of the games, with the standout performer of the week named captain.

Round 14 Team of the Week

1. Blake Moore – Central Queensland Capras (C)

The Capras fullback was unstoppable during his team’s first win in 861 days. Moore scored one try, kicked two from three conversion attempts, kicked one penalty goal, had one line break assist, one try assist and two tackle breaks. 2. Jonathon Reuben – Norths Devils

The Devils try-scoring machine, during his 100th Cup game, scored two tries, clocked 95 run metres and had three tackle breaks. Reuben’s first try in the 25th minute came from nothing – he had little sideline to work with, but he placed a deft kick into the in-goal and was too fast for the defence.

3. Treymain Spry – Tweed Seagulls

The Seagulls centre bagged himself a hat-trick during his team’s 40-18 win over Sunshine Coast Falcons in Murgon. He also clocked 136 run metres, had three line breaks, 10 tackle breaks and had a 100 per cent tackle efficiency, making nine tackles. “I think it was Treymain’s best performance of the season and our plan to give him early ball and let him create his own opportunities worked well,” Seagulls coach Ben Woolf said after the game. “He was very classy on the right edge. He’s a very good attacking player and we utilised him better than we had been.”

4. Bacho Salam – Townsville Blackhawks

Salam was busy for the Blackhawks during his 63 minutes on the field. The solid centre scored one try, had two try assists, clocked 122 run metres, had two line breaks, one line break assist, one tackle break and made 18 tackles.

5. Solo Wane – PNG Hunters

The Hunters winger was unstoppable during his side’s 34-22 win over Northern Pride in Atherton. Wane scored a hat-trick of tries, clocked a whopping 225 run metres, and had three line breaks and nine tackle breaks.
