Intrust Super Cup Round 10 had it all – doubles, hat-tricks, length-of-the-field tries, big hits, epic finishes and a touching tribute to one of the best players to have played Cup in Mitch Cronin.

Souths Logan Magpies half Lachlan Cooper was superb during the Mitch Cronin Memorial Cup match against Wynnum Manly Seagulls. Cooper helped his side deliver Wynnum Manly their first loss of the season, which earned him the Hastings Deering player of the match nod and skipper honours for the Round 10 Team of the Week.

Each round, Queensland Rugby League recognises the 17 best performers and name the Intrust Super Cup Team of the Week. These team selections are based not only on statistical data, but also take on board live and broadcast viewings of the games, with the standout performer of the week named captain.

Round 10 Team of the Week

1. Trai Fuller – Redcliffe Dolphins

The Dolphins flyer was electric during his side’s win over Burleigh Bears at Moreton Daily Stadium. Fuller scored one try, clocked a huge 222 run metres – the most for his team, had two line breaks, one line break assist, one try assist and seven tackle breaks, making him instrumental in the win.

3. Treymain Spry – Tweed Seagulls

The Gold Coast Titans-contracted talent was superb in attack for Tweed during their 24-16 win over Mackay Cutters in Round 10. Spry scored one try, clocked 170 run metres, including 34 post-contact, had two line breaks and five tackle breaks.

4. Bernard Gregorius – Norths Devils

It has been two years since Gregorius arrived at Bishop Park from French club Lezignan; he suffered a serious knee injury during his first week of training at club, and with COVID-19 cancelling the competition in 2020, he finally got to debut and he made the most of it. The centre scored one try, clocked 140 run metres, had two line breaks, one line break assist, one try assist and six tackle breaks. He also made seven tackles and did not miss any.

5. Corey Oates – Souths Logan Magpies

Oates was on fire for the Magpies in Round 10, scoring two tries – one the match-winning try at full-time against a previously undefeated Wynnum Manly side. Oates also clocked 208 run metres, had two line breaks and eight tackle breaks. NOrths Devils speedster Tony Tumusa was also impressive with two tries, four line breaks and 10 tackle breaks.
