Sunshine Coast Falcons coach Sam Mawhinney said it took a big team effort to finish on top of fellow Melbourne Storm feeder club Brisbane Tigers in Round 10.
Falcons debutant Wyatt Reynolds scored two of the Falcons’ five tries, with the Falcons running away 28-18 winners at Totally Workwear Stadium.
“It was a pretty ugly game to be honest, but sometimes you’ve just got to find a way and grind it out…. after a disappointing few weeks it was nice the boys found a way,” Mawhinney said.
