The Intrust Super Cup grand final was a tough, physical encounter that saw minor premiers Norths Devils finish on top of Wynnum Manly Seagulls in front of a packed crowd at Moreton Daily Stadium.
Devils prop Michael Molo was on fire, scoring the match-winning try late in the game to be named Hastings Deering player of the match and get skipper honours for the final Team of the Week of the year.

These team selections are based not only on statistical data, but also take on board live and broadcast viewings of the games, with the standout performer of the week named captain.
Grand final Team of the Week
1. Selwyn Cobbo – Wynnum Manly Seagulls
The exciting Brisbane Broncos-contracted young gun was electric in attack for Wynnum Manly in the grand final. Cobbo scored one try, clocked the most run metres for his side with a massive 274, including 91 post-contact, made two line breaks and a huge 18 tackle breaks.

2. Nene Macdonald – Norths Devils
The Devils winger was a top performer during their hard-fought grand final win. Macdonald clocked the most run metres for the Devils with 213, including 98 post-contact, and made seven tackle breaks. “I am just so proud of the whole squad, club, everyone who has contributed,” Devils coach Rohan Smith said.
3. Jesse Arthars – Wynnum Manly Seagulls
The athletic running centre was strong in attack and defence for Wynnum Manly. Arthars, contracted to the Broncos until 2023, clocked 174 run metres, including 75 post-contact, made one tackle break and nine tackles, missing none.
4. Bernard Gregorius – Norths Devils
The talented Devils centre has been consistently dangerous for the minor premiers during he finals series. During the grand final, Gregorius clocked 148 run metres, including 61 post-contact, made four tackle breaks and 14 tackles.
5. David Mead – Wynnum Manly Seagulls
The Broncos-contracted winger provided plenty of excitement for the always-rowdy Chook Pen. Mead scored one try, clocked 170 run metres, including 66 post-contact, made one line break and two tackles breaks, and made seven tackles.
6. Connor Broadhurst – Norths Devils
The 2019 XXXX Queensland Residents centre was a handy five-eighth for the Devils in the grand final – in attack and defence. Broadhurst kicked one conversion, assisted in one try, clocked 57 run metres, including 27 post-contact, made one tackle break and 24 tackles.
7. Tyrone Roberts – Norths Devils
The Devils half was a standout for his side in the grand final. Roberts scored one try, kicked one from two conversion attempts, clocked 88 run metres, made one line break and two tackle breaks, and made 13 tackles.
8. Michael Molo – Norths Devils
Molo was on fire for the Devils. Named Hastings Deering player of the match, the talented prop, during his 62 minutes on the field, scored one try, clocked 147 run metres, including 60 post-contact, made one tackle break and had a 91.2 per cent tackle efficiency, making 31 tackles.
