The Central Queensland Capras announced the signing of former Norths Devils forward Nixon Putt late last year and have since added a number of talented players to join the squad for season 2021.
Young forward Tyler Szepanowski has returned to the region after making his Intrust Super Cup debut with the Burleigh Bears in the Round 1 game last season, eager to cement his place in the line-up.
Originally from Rockhampton, Szepanowski moved to Moranbah as a youngster, playing most of his junior football with the Miners.
Former Redcliffe Dolphin Jedidiah Simbiken has also signed up with the club. The talented centre has previously represented PNG in the World Nines and will be keen to perform with his new Cup club.
New coach Guy Williams – who signed on to the head coaching role earlier this year – is hoping a continued focus on development will help deliver strong results for the talent-rich area.
The club have made a promising start at home in 2021, posting two pre-season wins to help get fans excited before Round 1 kicks off next weekend.
