Wynnum Manly Seagulls bounced back from Mitch Cronin Memorial Cup loss to overpower a very determined and disciplined Brisbane Tigers team.

The Tigers were not drawn into the sentiment and were into the Seagulls from the opening kick-off. For 25 minutes, you could not separate the two teams and both defended valiantly. Despite some early errors from both sides the score was locked at 0-0.
